I think the terrain needs higher polygon density to properly represent a map with this type of fine-grained contours. A lot of the detail is lost in the conversion. A higher map resolution wouldn't hurt either.
wtf? in cf edit, press F3 and the texture list will come up. then change all the 'detail leaves' texture or whatever it is to the texture you want the ground to be.
and don't convert Rocads. Most of them like this suck if you don't know how to do them
