Description:Weather Warning! A major sandstorm in the Sahara has partially buried the controls I put out last night. Set to 2 or 3 in options - busy in dunes. Nile, other rivers, Suez Canal and water holes are uncrossable. Tip: running through animals slows you down.

Desert area is really weird, when same thing on the map is converted differently, and the direction of those banks are just random. Could have been quiet nice if those were fixed

As a technical conversion its brilliant. As an orienteering experience....? Found it impossible to distinguish between embankments and earthwalls in the dunes.

Very different, which makes it fun. I also got stuck near bridge on 3 but finally was able to jump out of the embrace.

I didn'r like those earthwalls. I could make no sense whatever of them until I realised that they (or most of them?) are acually gullies, usually with one side more obvious than the other and with no idea which side on is supposed to be looking. An earthwall should be visible as a rising feature - it was often the opposite.
